By Silvia Martelli (December 3, 2021, 19:15 GMT) – A judge said on Friday that the mistakes made by the directors of Patisserie Valerie and two related companies during their bankruptcies in 2019 are not significant enough to render the process invalid for the chain of cafes in the throes of scandal.
Directors of Patisserie Holdings PLC, the company behind Patisserie Valerie, as well as two related companies broke the 1986 insolvency law by leaving the administration for liquidation, the High Court said on Friday. But the errors aren’t big enough to invalidate the process, the judge said.
